I’m a born-and-raised Alaskan, wife, mother and scientist who believes in utilizing natural and alternative solutions to meet our everyday needs.
My personal journey began when my biology teacher in high school unknowingly sparked years of skepticism and research with one simple, side-bar comment in class, that
…if it can’t be found in my kitchen, it doesn’t belong in my body…”
Or on your skin. Or hair.. Or dog… Or baby!
It wasn’t until I became pregnant with our son that my true battle against marketed, false ‘organic’ and ‘natural’ products began. If you’ve ever been pregnant, you know that there are suddenly a million things you ‘should avoid’… and it makes you wonder, why not avoid those things, anyway?! Why is it only pregnant women need to eat organic, take supplements/ vitamins, exercise daily, stop using certain soaps/cleaners/lotions/paints, and avoid inhaling unsafe chemicals?!
Throughout my life, and especially since our son was born, I have devoted myself to researching alternative solutions for everyday needs. This blog is an opportunity to share my passion for natural and chemical-free choices – from products and companies I love to DIY recipes.
I am not a hippy nor a homemaker; I’m just KindA Krunchy and here to share my journey.
